Hal Pearhill is the pen name used on every page of this site. The name is a nod to Pear Hill Road in Leonardtown, where Jubilee Farm Fermentations brewed. It is one editor, writing from public sources, not a brewer and not a member of the brewery.
How the pages are made
Every page starts from a research file of dated, linked claims before a sentence is written. Brewery facts, such as whether a taproom is open, carry a source from the current or previous year; if there is no such source, the brewery is left out rather than guessed at. Statistics carry a year and a link to the original publisher. Opinions are marked as opinions. Each page lists its sources at the bottom and shows the date it was last updated.
What this site is
An archive of the Jubilee Farm years in Leonardtown, kept alongside guides to craft beer in Maryland. Read the story of the farm and the beers it poured. Corrections are welcome: if a claim here is wrong, point to a source and it gets fixed.
